Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Sep 14
A dark, full throttle wine, the 2010 Barolo Marenca shows off all of its typical richness and intensity. Here it is the wine's texture and volume that speak most clearly. Today, the Marenca is remarkable primary, with virtually nothing in the way of flavor development. Readers need to be patient, but the 2010 has more than enough structure to develop well in bottle for many years.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
